Not quite sure how this place has only a 4 star average rating. Food is delicious and staff was friendly. Worth a try if you are looking for something a little different.

We came her to have a celebration of life lunch for my mom with her quilting friends. The staff was so welcoming and helpful, the food was great, and the area in the back was very cozy, with a fireplace and a nice mural. We'd definitely come here again.

I met my niece here recently for breakfast. The host was welcoming and we were seated quickly. Waters were delivered and our waitress, Nadine, came to take our orders. She was delightful and knowledgeable, answering our questions. My niece ordered the chicken fried steak with gravy, came with two nice servings of the steak, hash browns and sourdough toast, her choice. I ordered an omelet, without potatoes or toast, my choice, side of fruit. We were both happy with our choices. The only complaint could be that the music is rather loud, making conversation more challenging. I will return.

I absolutely love this place! From the minute you walk in until you leave there's nothing but great service. Very friendly staff. The food and drinks are amazing as well! I always go on a Saturday if I happen to be out that way for my daughter's soccer games. I just went in recently with the family. It was busy as usual but it's never too long of a wait. My fiancé got the Dixieland Steak Melt. She loved it. Bbq sauce was really good. My daughter got the Mardi Gras Beignets. I've had those before and I know it's amazing! I got the Tom's Scramble. It was massive and delicious! I got it with onions and bell peppers. Soooo goood! Their strawberry lemonade is the best I've ever had too!

Love the fried green tomatoes. My son even like them and he's dk picky. Great variety of drinks on menu for families. You got your sweet southern food and fried so there's enough for everyone

A nice change for the town. The food was flavorful, big portions, and well priced. The selection and different breakfast items was a plus. I enjoyed the Cajun Benedict's and potato's. They were cooked perfectly. The chicken fried stack was larger and flavorful and the potatoes with bell peppers was a great choice. I would recommend this place. We would be back soon for more.

Decided to go for a Sunday drive and ended up in Oakdale. Was early for a change and decided to have lunch at Huckleberry's which closes at 3pm Feeling adventurous, both the Hubbs and I decided to try something different. The Hubbs chose Bayou grilled catfish with sautéed mushrooms over a bed of red rice and sausage similar to jambalaya. His dish also came with 2 slices of grilled pieces of bread that didn't seem to go with the dish. The fish was cooked perfectly but being catfish still had that muddy taste. Lots of sautéed mushrooms and the rice was tasty. With the help of the server I ordered the crab cake Benedict with the side of Cajun potatoes, which is essentially fried red potatoes with onions and bell peppers. The crab is real crab and a large patty. The hollandaise sauce wasn't the best, bright yellow and had more of a thick gluey texture to it. We were there right before closing so more than likely the sauce had been sitting. From the kids menu we ordered hand battered chicken strips with french fries for the babes who as usual, couldn't be bothered to eat. This is a family dining establishment, and the other tables near us all had kids and parents struggling with convincing their kids to eat, so we fit in! I started thinking it may be the food and it wasn't. The strips were definitely hand battered and fresh with a crunchy coating. Strips were very similar to Canes Chicken and the French fries were also good. I ended up eating part of the Babes food and took most of my food to work the next day for lunch. The Sweet tea with Huckleberry sauce was more a dessert, the Hubbs loved it! Next time I'll go for the chicken and waffles special with bacon and an unsweetened tea with a Huckleberry's Sauce. Service was great, greeted promptly and server checked in often. Good solid diner to take the whole family to. Service 5 stars, food 3 stars,

First off the service was amazing. Five star service all the way around the food was really good and super fast. I had the pumpkin pancakes. We also had the stuffed French toast with strawberries. Both of our breakfasts were really delicious And I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves comfort food. If you're going through Oakdale Or live near Oakdale stop in you won't regret it.
